THE CHANGE A WEEK BRINGS
David Aiken
Last week, I was busy making plans for all that I needed to accomplish this week. There was a lot of paper work to file with the FCC, a computer upgrade for the Delaware studio, wiring changes in Marion, and an article to write for this newsletter. None of that got done except that I am writing this newsletter article from my hospital bed using a laptop computer. Last week I didnt even know what Pancreatitis was, but I sure found out. I also discovered that I have many wonderful friends who are ready, willing, and able to step in and help a friend who is hurting. Those wonderful friends went above and beyond to insure that COACB stations stayed on the air, and that all essential services were performed. Many even came by my hospital room to ask what they could do to help; and yes, it looks like the newsletter will make it to the printer on time. To all my wonderful friends...Thanks and God Bless You!

FALL TELETHON
Ben Kalb
I guess everyone has his or her favorite event at the COACB stations. Many enjoy the monthly gospel singings, others love to hear Gods Word proclaimed by a favorite preacher, and then there's a bunch (like me) who enjoy the bi-annual telethons.
Telethons give our viewers a chance to support their station, while enjoying all the excitement that goes along with it. I think the auctions are a favorite for most viewers. Many enjoy seeing the different items donated by local businesses, while others look forward to homemade food items. Ive even had people tell me how they listen for the famous countdown from "TEN" to "SOLD."
In honor of the Lords Day, we do not have an auction on Sunday, but instead, a day of praise, singing, and celebrating. During the Sunday broadcast, we give viewers the opportunity to call in pledges and give to support the growth of their station.
Thursday, October 12 5-8PM
Friday, October 13 5-8PM
Saturday, October 14 2-9PM
Sunday, October 15 1-7PM
Please pray for the success of our FALL TELETHON and plan on attending or viewing October 12-15. If you would like to donate an item for auction, please call Reta (740) 383-1794.

SUPPORT A DAY OF OPERATION
Individuals and businesses can provide grants to the COACB for a day of operation. The COACB publicly recognizes grants over its stations, its newsletter, its Internet site and a sign posted in the lobby of its corporate office. Each day of operation costs the COACB $300.
The grants can be made to honor or celebrate anniversaries, weddings, birthdays, graduations, and other joyous occasions, or just to promote the gospel. The grant can also be made in memory of loved ones. To reserve a day, contact Reta at (740) 383-1794.

MORE THAN YOU KNOW,
Archie Rice
There are times, when we are weary,
When the load seems hard to bear.
Thats the time to trust the Savior,
Cast on Him your every care.
Remember friend, He loves you,
Far more than tongue can tell.
Lifes voyage will be pleasant,
As He whispers, "All is well."
--Archie went to be with the Lord in 1997.
