Volume 2 Issue 30 November 2000

Reta Rutherford and Betty Syck proudly stand in front of the new sign and landscaping at TV-39.
Sales of family portraits, two yard sales, bake sales, and donations
made it possible to erect this beautiful sign. The sign was purchased from DHC signs, and
landscaping services were purchased from McCoy Landscaping. Thanks to all who worked so
hard to make this possible.
FALL TELETHON A GREAT SUCCESS
We wish to thank all who helped to make the Fall Telethon and Auction a great success. Auction items brought in $8,566 for the three stations and with pledges of $16,500 it makes this one of the best Telethons ever.
Often other Christian stations ask what percentage of the money pledged actually arrives at COACB stations. They say the national average is 30% 50%, but I am very proud to say that COACB stations almost always receive 150% of what was pledged. This is truly remarkable.

PRAYER LINE TO THE WORLD
There is a prayer line that operates 24 hours per day, seven days a week, and it is accessible from anywhere in the world. It is
www.coacb.org/prayer. This site is operated by the COACB.Prayer requests are literally being posted from all over the world. Those facing great trouble post requests. Others post because they are new to their community and know few people. Still others seek a way to ask for prayer without anyone knowing their identity. The prayer requests are posted around the clock. Over 2500 people have visited the site.
Many of those posting have been surprised to come back later and find a note of encouragement from someone named Teresa. Several have asked who she is. Teresa is a COACB volunteer working from her home computer in Texline, Texas and she is doing a wonderful job.

LOVE GIFT FOR NOVEMBER
The love gift for November is a Golden Dove Christmas Tree Ornament. The dove carries an olive branch in its beak symbolizing peace. Two thousand years ago on a hillside outside of Bethlehem the Angels proclaimed "Peace on Earth and good will to all men." The Christ child had come to bring peace to all. This love gift will be sent to all that donate at least $5.00 to the COACB during the month of October.

SUPPORT A DAY OF OPERATION
Individuals and businesses can provide grants to the COACB for a day of operation. The COACB publicly recognizes grants over its stations, its newsletter, its Internet site and a sign posted in the lobby of its corporate office. Each day of operation costs the COACB $300.
The grants can be made to honor or celebrate anniversaries, weddings, birthdays, graduations, and other joyous occasions, or just to promote the gospel. The grant can also be made in memory of loved ones. To reserve a day, contact Reta at (740) 383-1794.
SPEAK HIS NAME
By Janice Winslow Harper
There is power in the name of Jesus!
From Heaven the power transcends.
It is felt in a sigh, in a thought, in a cry
Speak His name and the power begins!
"Jesus, Lord of Lords, Prince of Peace,
King of Kings, Savior, Counselor, Friend.
Truth, Strength, Hope, Prosperity,
Blessed Redeemer, Love without end."
There is power in the name of Jesus!
Let the force of the power get through.
Speak His name and Heaven will answer,
in a gift of the power to you.
"Jesus, Lord of Lords, Prince of Peace,
King of Kings, Savior, Counselor, Friend.
Truth, Strength, Hope, Prosperity,
Blessed Redeemer, Love without end."
Jesus! Jesus! Jesus! Jesus!
